Quite and Stillness of Breastfeeding

Addison is now 12 days old, she is wonderful. I had some problems breastfeeding. She has a strong suck and my poor nipples got so raw, I had a break down by the morning of day #4. I called my midwife and she was at my house with in 30 mins. She will never know how much she has touched our lives. I went again yesterday for help to get off the nipple sheilds, so far so good.

Addison, is just wonderful. I am amazed with having a girl. Its different, so different. Its hard to get used to he diaper area. When are you know is boy, boy, boy, its hard to get used to. We are taking it one change at a time.

God bless this little one.

One week old

Wow, we made it through the first week. Addison is so perfect. I cant seem to put her down. She has my heart in the palm of her hand already. We have had a few problems. Breast feeding is not going as well as i hoped. I am having to use nipple shelds, but she is feeding well so i can not complane too much. The other problem we are having is sleep. She is up alot at night and its hard to get rest. But last night she did really well. I am about to change her and rub her down with olive oil and lavender oil to calm her then feed her and get her in bed. Wish us luck.

Hurting

Man, this sweet girl is killing me. I have way more pain with this one than I did even with my twins. I hurt in places that I did not know you could hurt. When I sleep my knees hurt really bad, making it hard to sleep.

On a good note, Lewis took day off to try to get some of the last min things done before the baby gets here. He has to go get the boys early from Grandmas house and they start school on Monday.

Try again

Today is day 4 without my boys, they are at grams, and lots to be done today. I drove for almost an hour getting lost again and again trying to find the Gulfgate Dodge dealership to get the oil changed in my hubby's car. I hate driving in Houston without my GPS. Lewis's poor stick shift car, mom is mucbh rougher on it than he is. But at least I am getting the oil changed for him.
After I finish, I have to go turn in the boys paperwork for K, i still can not believe how much out lives are going to change. Big boys start school and having a baby girl at home. Life is so good.

We have taken this kid free week to get the things done that we have been putting off for so long. Glad to be doing all this before this baby comes.

Thats about it for today... I think this will help me Blog easier, we will see.

Crying kind of day

Well, The boys have been really good so far going to school. This morning they started wrestling on the floor with each other and then with daddy. The house was filled with big laughter. Grayson was sitting in the Bumbo watching and taking notes. Then it was time to get our shoes on and run, and I do mean run out the door.

We get to school the boys get out hugs and kisses later then off I go, or so I thought. Kenneth started crying... I dont know if it was because of so much fun with daddy or another little boy crying, but here come the water works. I got out and hugged him one more time and then he went in. He stood there looking through the glass wall like a sad puppy but 10 times worse. Tug Tug goes moms heart strings. Why does he have to do that??? I pulled off slowly with no crying. Then I was gone, wondering...

I picked them up and he had a blast. He could not wait to tell me everything he had done.

I started teaching them about calenders and teaching them to read. I am wondering if I am teaching them to much when they are not in Kendergarden yet. I want them reading before they start. I pray that have a love for reading, not like daddy and I.
