Crying kind of day

Well, The boys have been really good so far going to school. This morning they started wrestling on the floor with each other and then with daddy. The house was filled with big laughter. Grayson was sitting in the Bumbo watching and taking notes. Then it was time to get our shoes on and run, and I do mean run out the door.

We get to school the boys get out hugs and kisses later then off I go, or so I thought. Kenneth started crying... I dont know if it was because of so much fun with daddy or another little boy crying, but here come the water works. I got out and hugged him one more time and then he went in. He stood there looking through the glass wall like a sad puppy but 10 times worse. Tug Tug goes moms heart strings. Why does he have to do that??? I pulled off slowly with no crying. Then I was gone, wondering...

I picked them up and he had a blast. He could not wait to tell me everything he had done.

I started teaching them about calenders and teaching them to read. I am wondering if I am teaching them to much when they are not in Kendergarden yet. I want them reading before they start. I pray that have a love for reading, not like daddy and I.

Baker Boys start school

The Baker Boys first day of Pre-K and they did great. No crying when Daddy and I dropped them off. Kenneth did cry some soon after but he was fine. Kyle did not want to leave. They are excited about tomorrow. It rained here late in the day so we had a nice walk after dinner and passed by their school and they were waving and saying hello school see you tomorrow. I am so happy for them and feel so lucky to be their mom. I so love my boys.

Please Lord let the time slow down some.

Seeing Gods Path

How to start this.....I wanted to take a account of all that God has done for us the last few months. God has really been good, even though we are going through some changes God is really leading the way for us.

Background:

Lewis was let go from his Job of 4 year with Texas A&M University when Grayson was two weeks old, that was one week after his Paternity Leave. He has never had a bad evaluation until August 2008. Everything was great at home but the pressure he was feeling at work was really getting to him and you could tell. Lewis had to pull 2 weeks with the Guard to help with Hurricane Ike. While he was serving in Houston, something went wrong at the office and he was not there to fix it. He came back to the first write up he had ever received. Then at home I was 24 weeks pregnant and I ended up having Gallstones and had to have surgery. Lewis was by my side all day and night the whole time I was in the hospital for a week. He had the Sick Leave, he never took off unless he just HAD to. Again, something happened while he was out and he was written up again for the 2nd time and was told his job was on the line. What stress for him to deal with, it hurt him badly. He tried and TRIED his best to do nothing wrong. Then I was close to labor with our 3rd Son. He worked till 11:00PM to get everything done. He even took the two boys to his work to get a few more things taken care of while I labored at home with a coach. He was trying to dot all his i's and cross all his t's, but with all that he did they still found something and the 3rd and final write up came. He was let go Febuary 23, 2009. This is the part I want to concentrate one.

Provisions God has made for us:

  1. Time, God gave us time, not just time to think but time to save. We saved a good amount of money to make a good number of months without a job.
  2. Refinancing our home, God opened the door for us to refinance our home and we SIGNED papers ONE day BEFORE Grayson was born. This made it so we did not have to pay a house payment for 2 months and they sent us over a thousand back from escrow to put into savings.
  3. Time of year, taxes were just filed and we got back a nice refund, we were able to use this to pay bills. Also, in July Lewis will be getting a bonus from the National Guard, this will also be used to pay our bills.
  4. Comfort and calmness, I have been faithful that God will show us the way he wants to go. I know he is testing our Faithfuness and I am so greatful for this time.
  5. It was also just confermed with the TWC that Lewis was Fired wrongly, so he will get back pay for unemployment benifits.
What we are praying for:

There are 4 job opertunitys that Lewis is up for.

  • Offier in the US Air Force
  • AGR spot at Ellington Feild
  • Recurter position with the Air Force full time enlisted
  • Education position with the Army
These are in order. The first two we will not fine anything out till September.

We know God is walking with us and guiding us.

Grayson's room is compleat

I just wanted to start off with I love doing the cutest rooms for my kids, Lewis appeases me by helping with what ever he can. Fun story behind his room theme and everything. We were going to get the big ultrasound and knew it was a girl, no dough about it. God Grace. We were looking at the JC Penney's catalog together and Lewis and I picked on boys bedding that we both that was too prefect IF and only if this was a boy but its not. Little did we know God had a whole new plan. Grayson was confirmed some time later and work ordered it. We found this perfect run and love the way it looked. I got the letters and painted them all up and Lewis hung them over the crib. I really love the way it turned out and cant wait to see him in there. OK OK now I will give you the pictures. We are not professionals I just love doing my kids room as a hobby.

We are so ready for our Blessing to come.

Grayson update & New Pictures

Went to the doc on Monday to see if Grayson is coming anytime soon. I am a little upset because there was nothing going on. I don't want to be induced so we will see Monday what she says. Hopefully something else is going on. This waiting is killing me. I can't wait to see him. I want to see who he looks like. I cant wait for Sarah to take his pictures. Cant wait to show him to everyone. I know, Gods timeing is PERFECT, but when you are 38 1/2 weeks pregnant its hard to be patience.

OH Sarah, I am in love with you. I can't be thankful enough for these wonderful pictures you have truly blessed us with.

Grayson, Grayson, when are you coming??????

This week has been great. I have felt really good, and walked a lot this week. Only at night is when I hurt. We are getting ready for this baby, well we are ready. I can't wait to see his face. There are so many things I am looking forward to, having one baby to breast feed, one baby to get up with, one baby period, even though secretly we were hoping for twins. Its cool this time we are not scared, with the twins we were, we did not know what it really meant to take care of a baby, but now we are just looking forward to it. The thing that I am most looking forward too is Kenneth and Kyle being big brothers. They are going to make the best big brothers. They are always talking to Grayson and telling him that they love him now. They are so sweet. What did I do to deserve such great boys? God has truly blessed us.

I am going to the doc tomorrow to see if there is anything going on down there, Lewis is going with me. The doc said she will be stripping my membranes, and I bet that is going to feel wonderful, hee hee.

The boys also have a doc apt tomorrow, 4 year old wellness check just 2 months late. They will have 4 shots each, what wonderful time for us. YEAH.

I will update tomorrow.

35 1/2 Weeks, Grayson will be here SOON!!!!!

I just wanted to share what the doc said yesterday. I am 35 1/2 weeks along and getting rather big and sore, (funny, I was not this bad with the twins that I can remember)

ANYWAYS, I am one centimeter dilated, mucus plug is gone, 50% effaced and Grayson is at a -2 station. They did an ultrasound on him they said he is 5lb 2oz, but I understand those are never right at the end, if ever. He is VERY head down, so VBAC here we come. She predicts two to three more weeks and that is it.

I can't believe I will be holding Grayson soon. We tried for 6 months to get pregnant and 9 months of waiting, holding him is long waited for. We have his room ready, and its pretty. I will take pictures soon. I am so tired and sore its unreal.

Just wanted to update everyone on what is going on over here.
